Pelosi Tells Whopper Of A Lie
So her trip is supposed to HELP the President?? "Our message was President Bush's message," Pelosi said in a phone interview.
Uhh, no it wasn't Nancy. You were specifically discouraged from going and you ignored it. Now the heat is on because everyone knows you're acting like a traitor and you want to look like the good guy.
As a side note take a look at the slight jab at the President: "Bush earlier in the week assailed Pelosi for making the trip to Damascus, saying it sent mixed messages to the Syrian government, which his administration considers to be a state supporter of terrorism.
Wrong again. Syria has been on the State Departments list of sponsors of terrorism since 1979, LONG before the Bush Administration was elected. With a statement like that, the author misleads people into thinking that only the Bush Administration considered Syria a sponsor of terrorism instead of the United States.
