What a dumb thing to do. Open up a public forum to give ideas to terrorists. That being said, I've walked in downtown and looked at buildings and thought to myself "I wonder how a terrorist would take that building down". Perhaps I might make a good counter-terrorism guy, especially with my strong chemistry and partial military background.

I must admit I've looked around at security vulnerabilities, and thought "if I were a bad guy, I'd do this". I'm not going to share those ideas here on the slim chance I have the next Mohammed Atta as a reader, but the thought still remains the same: With an open and free society that we live in, it's almost impossible to guard against terrorist attacks.

However, there have been documented cases where Al-Qaeda members have gotten into this country, found out the same things I know (that this country is the greatest) and then completely turned around and didn't go through with the attack simply because they were welcomed with open arms just like any other immigrant. Sometimes a free and open society is your biggest defense against attack.
