Typical Hillary

Regulate and spend hard earned tax payer dollars. This time it's with mortgage companies who slit their own throats by loaning money to people who shouldn't have been loaned to.

The New York senator, on the campaign trail in New Hampshire, also proposed a $1 billion fund to supplement state programs that help homeowners catch up on mortgage payments, renegotiate loan terms or provide financial counseling.

A BILLION of YOUR dollars she wants to use to help people that got in over their heads and put glitz over substance. A BILLION of YOUR dollars she wants to use to bail people out who should sell their homes and move into something more affordable. If you can't afford homeownership, maybe you should rent an apartment and save your money just like every generation before us did.

Where do you suppose that billion dollars is going to come from? You and me. With this country already up to it's eyeballs in debt, I don't feel a bit sorry for any of the players involved. If you couldn't afford the home, you shouldn't have bought it. If you normally wouldn't have loaned these people money a few years back and now you did, you deserve to eat the cost because of your greed.

Hey Hillary, I'd love some "help" on my mortgage. How about you throw a couple grand my way? Oh wait, I don't need it because I sat down and worked out the math on worst case scenarios and figured out what kind of home I could afford (4 bedroom 3 bath 2,100 sq feet if you must know). I then went shopping for a home.

Once I knew what I could afford, I simply kept my search to that amount or less. If a home was even a dollar more then what I could afford, I didn't look at it. Sure, I would have loved to have gotten a 3,500 sq. foot home with a jetted tub in the master bathroom, but I simply couldn't afford it. So what's my plan? I'm waiting for my wife's student loans to come in to see how much they are before we move forward to thinking about a newer, bigger home. It's simply planning that has helped us avoid financial pitfalls.

Sometimes, yes, people do get caught in bad situations where they can no longer afford their mortgage. However, REAL Americans simply dust themselves off, sell the home, and buy a lower cost one or move into an apartment. They don't beg the government for money, they don't whine about it, they just adjust and move on with their lives.

There's no reason why anyone can't do the same thing. Hillary Clinton is a dangerous person when it comes to the finances of the American taxpayer. She has already said she's like to "take the profits" from oil companies, raise taxes, and make your life much more expensive. How is she helping people with their mortgages if the actions she wants to take will make everything else in your life much more expensive.

So if you're coming up $200 short a month on your mortgage, but all of a sudden, your gas bill, tax bill, and groceries are now $250 a month more, how has she helped you out? Easy, she hasn't.

Comments:
People don't understand they won't be helping as much as they believe they are. She doesn't understand economic fundamentals or if she does she doesn't care and simply wants the power.

Even so I would rather not spend it on the military either. We seem to have a group of people in power who really enjoy borrowing from the future taxpayers and giving to their corporate buddies. And at the same time they tell you it benefits you.

While I agree fully with the first part, I only half agree with the second.

Personally, I like having the most advanced military in the world. It allows us to keep enemies at bay (for the most part) and let our allies know that we've got their back.

But on the flip side, I don't think we should go further and further into debt because of it. I think that a lot of fat trimming on other services that the government provides is in dire need. For example, welfare. I'm not saying cut it off completely, but those that are able to work, should work. It would allow the government to use it's workers more productively since they won't be having to do as much tasks during the day.
