Am I a bad guy

For thinking this is an early Christmas present? We got the Taliban's military chief. Apparently he's so high up there, he has close links to Omar and Bin Laden. Now, if I can only get Bin Laden's head on a pike for Easter, I'll be in hog heaven. :)

Gratitude From A Marine Pilot

A very nice and touching article by Marine Pilot Michael Bell. His specific comments of "I'm thankful that we have brave men and women working 24/7 in harm's way with very little rest, and I'd be extremely thankful if I could say to my fellow Americans, no matter your politics or views on the war in Iraq, that you put your feelings aside while our troops are in a war zone. After going there, I believe we are fighting a group of Muslim extremists who hate us no matter what we do or whom we support. And I don't think that comes out in the media. " really touch on what its like through the eyes of a guy who's there and knows what is going on with protesters who keep badmouthing him and his fellow soldiers. Think about that Democrats when you love to proclaim that we've "lost the war" and want to pull our guys out as quickly as possible.

Russia Ripping Off Georgia With Energy Costs

And now it begins. I just sensed that with Russia seizing assets of major oil companies, that they were going to try to put the squeeze on people that they know they can bully around. Just watch, they'll pull this stunt on anyone and everyone they can over the next few months or years.

I'm telling you at this very moment, if the Democrats don't come out in full force and tell this cocksucker "No fucking way" in a big way, it'll just prove my point that Democrats are weak on terrorism and they deserve the label they get. If they go a step further and actually decide to negotiate with Al-Qaeda, you can bet your ass that there will be a landslide loss on their end come next election time. So I'm waiting Democrats, come out and tell this motherfucker "No Way". I'm waiting. Let's see you "walk the walk".........Still waiting.......

Russia, China Draggin Feet. Want Watered Down Resolution

Of course they do. Any unbalance of money could threaten their future growth. But now, the UN Security Council and Germany can't seem to agree on anything. They want to water down any resolution that they come to and you can bet the farm that Iran is just going to laugh at them anyways. Way to show a backbone guys!

It could come down to "If Iran gets the bomb and they attack us or an ally with that bomb, we should hold Russia and China personally responsible and see it as an act of war by the two powers". Wipe Iran off the map and kick Russian and China off of the Security Council for failure to prevent a catastrophe. It's just as bad as if someone stands idly by while their friend kills someone. That makes you an accomplice and makes you equally responsible for their actions.

People will scream at the US for not doing enough and we can point to Russia and China for blocking our attempts to make sure that they didn't get the bomb in the first place. Iran is hiding behind its older brothers and pointing and laughing hoping for protection.

Of course none of that will happen. Russia and China will proclaim that they did all they could and how it's all the US's fault for fanning the flames of hatred. It's ALWAYS the fault of the US. It's never the fault of the guy who's actually doing the wrong thing.

Russia Shooting Itself In Its Other Foot

Good Job Russia, now investors will likely think twice before investing any kind of money in your country for fear of you just taking the assets back. First Shell, now BP. Sooner or later, people won't want to invest in other industries and as a worst cast scenario, you could see foreign investments across the board dry up.

UN Resolution Won't Stop Nuclear Work - Iran

Well no shit. The UN hasn't had teeth in any of their resolutions in a very long time. The only way to get them to notice is to get Russia and China on our side and get sanctions put through the Security Council. If that doesn't work, the Israeli's would be more then happy to take care of the situation for us. Russia and China need to see how grave a situation this is and look beyond their own greed. Russia may find out one day that the multi billion dollar nuclear reactor they are building is now a smoldering pile of rubble.

Sandy Berger - Idiot

So I wonder why it is that Clinton's National Security Advisor, Sandy Berger, decided that it was a good idea to steal classified materials. What's even more curious is that in his sentence, he's not allowed to have access to classified materials for only 3 years. If it were my decision, he'd never get access to classified secrets. I wouldn't even trust him with the Colonel's Secret Recipe.

Yeah, Like This Is Going To Help The GOP

Good going asshole, all you've done is piss people off and not bother to notice that you're alienating a section of America that is trying to live out the American Dream like everyone else. Here's a great quote: "I fear that in the next century we will have many more Muslims in the United States if we do not adopt the strict immigration policies that I believe are necessary to preserve the values and beliefs traditional to the United States of America and to prevent our resources from being swamped."

Well pretty soon we'll start having blacks and jews in the country too! Oh the horror! It's one thing to be against illegal immigration like I am, it's quite another to make such a statement that does nothing but alienate law abiding Americans. His original point (illegal immigration) is muddied by his blatantly idiotic statement.

Who gives a shit if a guy, freely elected, wants to swear in with a Koran, rather then a Bible? That's his choice. Unless he's doing something to undermine the United States and it's interests, then there's no reason to have this shitstorm.

Maryland Court Halts Executions

Oh Waaah! Vernon Evans Jr machine gunned down Scott Piechowicz and Susan Kennedy and his only appeals now are how his sentence is racially biased and how he had ineffectual counsel because he didn't have a good enough investigation into his childhood. My childhood had an abusive, alcoholic father, divorced parents at a young age, abandonment by my father at the age of 10, and more, but I have never machine gunned down 2 people. So suck it up Evans, you're in for a date with a needle.

Al-Jazeera Needs Some CIA Love

Has anyone else noticed that Al-Jazeera CONSISTENTLY gets Al-Qaeda tapes? They are always the ones airing these things and then they won't discuss how or when they get the tapes. I'm thinking that the CIA should infiltrate Al-Jazeera and find out where and how they are getting these tapes, trace it back to their source, and kill these fuckers. They love nothing more then to rub our noses in the fact they haven't been caught yet. Perhaps a bit of cloak and dagger could help things immensely. But then again, they could already be doing these things already. Hopefully they are smarter then I am and have a vast network of HUMINT going on in Al-Jazeera.

Well at least he wasn't carrying any weapons

So a grandmother puts her one month old grandson through an airport x-ray machine?? It may be an "innocent mistake" by some accounts, but the last time this happened was in 1988.

Let's do some math here ok kids? Approximately 60 million people pass through LAX each year. Now, there's going to be some spikes and pitfalls in that number, but we'll use it as a rough estimate. It's been 18 years since 1988. That means that approximately 1.08 BILLION people have gone through security. That number is highly suspect, but let's low ball it can call it an even 500 million people. So only 2 people out of 500 million people have put babies in the x-ray machine at LAX? You have better odds winning Powerball.

It may very well be an "innocent mistake", but when you see other people putting luggage and laptops in a scanner, don't put your grandson in there with them. Take the baby where people go.

Najaf Handed Over To Iraqi Security Forces

Well 3 down and 15 to go. It's not without it's skeptics though.

Hikma Habib, a 27-year-old policeman in Najaf, was skeptical of the handover, saying previous ceremonies handing over smaller areas of control had made little difference.

“One time I raised the Iraqi flag and we had a ceremony with the governor of Najaf present ... and now they are handing over security again,” Habib said.

“I don’t think this will be the last time, because the U.S. forces, when they want to arrest somebody, they take back control of security, and after the arrest they hand it back again to the Iraqis. It’s just a game.”

Just a thought Mr. Habib, maybe if you guys got on top of your game when it came to security, we wouldn't have to come back and take control again. Maybe if you were a little more vigilant when it came to being infiltrated by rival religious factions, you wouldn't have to deal with as much bullshit in your job. Maybe if you arrested everyone who committed a crime, not just guys of opposite factions, you would have less security problems. Just a thought.

Cop Killer Gets Life

Why is it that this piece of shit gets to live the rest of his life on my dime? He killed Officer Joseph Longobardo and wounded Officer Donald Baker Jr. That's a death penalty case if I've ever heard one. We've put people do death for shooting civilians, so why does he get a pass when he kills a cop?

The better question is, what will his new life in prison be like? I'd like to know what a typical day in his life will be like. We all know that he'll never get to feel grass on his feet again. We all know he'll have to eat shitty food for the rest of his life. But what I want to know is, how miserable is prison really like?

If there's a prison guard out there, could you please make sure this guy doesn't enjoy a minute of his time for the rest of his life? I'd appreciate it, so would the families of the officers involved.

Florida Professor Admits He's A Spy

Let me ask you something, if you're a spy, and you're caught, why is it that you'd only face 10 years in jail for not registering as a foreign agent?? Shouldn't that be a 30+ year sentence to deter those who would spy against us?? Don't you think that it would make some foreign governments think twice about not registering foreign agents with us? Well at least he goes well with his boss. So he wants to say that white people and "uppity black folks" are the only ones who are irritated that she's an embarrassment to the state of Georgia? She's ok in his book even though she assaulted a police officer? It's ok for her to play the race card even though race had nothing to do with the incident which lead her to assault the officer? Wall Street Bonuses in the Billions

I think it's a good thing when someone performs well and they get a nice bonus. If you have a record year, you should have a record bonus. Plus, when people get bonus' of hundreds of thousands, or even millions of dollars, the local economy benefits greatly from the taxes and goods that are bought because of the new influx of cash. So, I'm waiting for the Democrats to say that bonus' are a bad thing for corporations to give out and how the poor who don't have anything should instead get the money even though they didn't work for the money to begin with. Sometimes its necessary to show ones opponent the consequences of going down a particular road. You don't need to actually do the consequence, just show them what possibilities lie ahead. Many times this will persuade them to see things your way. Hopefully it works again this time. I Almost Had Respect For Hillary Clinton....Almost

Have you ever had an opponent or someone whom you've disagreed with so much that when they show a bit of backbone or you can agree on something, you develop a slight, ever so slight respect for them? I was that way about Hillary Clinton and her stance on the war in Iraq. She has said that she voted for the war, supported the president and his decisions, and stood by what she voted for. Now, she's turned tail and like most other Democrats, now renounces her decision to authorize force against Iraq.

It's one thing to say "I made a mistake and I regret it". It's quite another when you've seen evidence of Saddam being sneaky, hiding things, and firing on our jets patrolling the no fly zone and still wanting to give him a pass. Saddam needed to be removed from power. He was a threat to us and everyone in the region. He's a genocidal dictator who supported terrorist suicide bombers against Israel and who's regime was responsible for thousands of deaths. Saddam even was planning terrorist attacks against the US on it's own soil.

If you want to give a guy like that a pass simply because WMD's have not been found, you don't deserve my respect, even as my opponent.

Calling Out A Liar

I have had the misfortune of coming across an article in the Daily Utah Chronicle titled "Support Democracy - Buy Gas At Citgo". It was so full of misleading information and outright lies that I had to write to the editor and correct them. I think I might have come across as a bit of an asshole. Oh well. I guess that's the way the ball bounces. :) Here is a copy of my email below:

I happened upon Jay Richards article " Support Democracy - Buy Gas At Citgo" recently and I am amazed at the amount of false and misleading information that he has in this article. For example: "Out of all the top oil-producing countries in the world, only one is a democracy ". This is patently false. Here's a list of the top oil producers. So what you're telling me is that Canada, The US, Mexico and the U.K. don't have free and open elections?

Another false statement: "The fact is that if we were not so dependent on Middle-Eastern oil, there would have been no Sept. 11." Perhaps Jay does not understand that we were defending our allies in the middle east against Saddam's invasion forces and to remove him from Kuwait. Perhaps Jay also does not know that Saddam did indeed invade a small town in Saudi Arabia. Perhaps Jay also did not know that Osama Bin Laden offered his forces to help defend the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. When he was rebuffed for the USA, Osama was angry at that as well as the fact that we were on holy land as non Muslims. It did not matter that we were defending his fellow Muslims against Saddam. It did not matter that we were invited there by the king of Saudi Arabia. Also, It had nothing to do with oil at all. It had everything to do with doing what's right. If it had been about oil, we could have simply kept all the oil fields while we were still there.

Mr. Richards, your knowledge of the Middle East and past events concerning it is laughable. Your statements in this article are at best misleading, and at worst, out right lying. This article you have written is no better then a chain email that gets past around an office. I feel dumber for reading your article and feel sorry for your readers that might actually believe this nonsense you are spewing.

That said, I would be happy to set you straight. If you'd like to check out my website http://www.rightwinglunatic.com, as well as I would be more then happy to debate you on any current topic you'd like.

China Wants Economic Dialogue

I'm all for that, but let's not mince words. The current spying situation against the United States by China has me very concerned and made me not be as willing to be open with China as we could be if they weren't actively seeking out military secrets from us. Make no mistake, China is an economic superpower, but I get the feeling from them that they are just positioning themselves to become the next great superpower. North Korea Returns To Talks

Well let's see how well this goes. They have made all sorts of demands in the past, and to tell you the truth, I could really give a shit less about these idiots demands. They have proven time and time again that they cannot be trusted when we come to an agreement. The reneged on an existing deal that we made with them in the 90's and now we're supposed to trust them again? Then they have the nerve to demand that we not blacklist a bank with suspected laundering and counterfeiting operations going on?

What's even more ballsy is that Kim Kye Gwan, North Korea's Chief Negotiator demanded that the blacklisting be lifted as a "precursor". Sorry buddy, you're in no position to make demands like that. You wanted to be all high and mighty and we decided to cut off aid and let you twist in the wind. You've had plenty of chances to come back to the negotiation table and you spit in our face. So fuck em. Let them suffer the aid loss and isolation that they have painted themselves into a corner with. Let them know what it's like to renege on a deal with the USA. You want to be our friend? I'm ok with that. But don't think you can treat us like an asshole and get away with it.

Plus, if you decide one day that you want to transfer that nuclear technology to terrorists, I'll warn you; If they set a bomb off like that in our country or against our ally, don't be surprised if we nuke your country in retaliation. You're responsible for your nuclear arsenal.

Everyone knows I'm the first one to defend the military and soldiers. Everyone also knows I'm the first to defend decisions that they make on the battlefield. Split second decisions mean the difference between living and dying. But I cannot condone drug dealing while in uniform. It dishonors yourself, your uniform, and your fellow soldiers.

If a soldier is in need of money for various reasons, there's plenty of things a young, strong man or woman can do as a side job to earn the extra cash he/she needs. We've all had rough times financially, but drug dealing isn't an answer. It's simple greed and dishonor.

If you want to give up such a precious thing simply because of tax reasons, then go for it. But you're a traitor in my eyes. Simply because you're willing to give up something that some people have risked their lives for over money makes you not worthy of being called an American.

People dream of coming to this country and making a life better for themselves and their families. If they do so legally, I'm more then happy to call them Americans.

Ahmadinejad and his allies not as popular as you'd think

Good, glad to know that the whole country isn't going down the shitter simply because they all think the same way. It's just this idiot.

When you're wrong, you're wrong.

You cannot curb First Amendment, or any part of the Constitution against American citizens simply because you are trying to combat a problem. While it may seem like an easy way to combat the problem you are facing, it is simply wrong to try to take away the rights of American citizens if they have done nothing wrong. It's not who we are as Americans. Mr. Gingrich, you are wrong.

Mr. Powell, I respectfully disagree

I cannot see why additional troop levels in Iraq could be anything but helpful. Added security in problem areas can help get the country to stable enough levels to allow the Iraqis time to take over. Mr. Powell's military service and leadership abilities are quite impressive and I won't disparage him for his current views on the situation in Iraq, but I will respectfully disagree.

This Doesn't Make Sense

So Australia has a notorious drug lord in their prison system. He plans a daring helicopter breakout. But their guards aren't armed??? Kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it?

Hamas And Fatah Agree To Ceasefire

Let's see how long that lasts. I'm willing to bet that one or the other side blinks and it won't last.
