Drug User? Kick The Habit And Win An Ipod

Our friends across the pond have a few kooky ideas when it comes to rewarding drug use. So, I've been drug free my entire life, does that mean I get a free Ipod too? Yeah, I know I'm an American, but come on! I've been drug free for YEARS. You just can't make this stuff up folks. :)

Update On Iran/North Korea Nuclear Cooperation

Hanoi Jane Strikes Again

Ask any Vietnam veteran what they think of Jane Fonda and you'll get a wide range of responses from blind, murderous rage, to....well blind, murderous rage. Well it appears she's ready to piss off a whole new generation of soldiers. So what's on this cunts list of things to do to help comfort and aid the enemy? Is she going to strap a bomb to herself and do a photo op? Is she going to kidnap civilians and chop their heads off? Is she going to put people in plastic shredders or electrocute them? Sure, she has the right to protest just like everyone else, but that doesn't mean she has the right for people to take her bullshit.

Another Present From The Democrats

Oh man, I couldn't have asked for a better candidate for a bit of conflict of interest and corruption then my favorite Democrat, Dianne Feinstein. Looks like she awarded appropriations worth BILLIONS to companies controlled by her husband.

In her annual Public Financial Disclosure Reports, Feinstein records a sizeable family income from large investments in Perini, which is based in Framingham, Mass., and in URS, headquartered in San Francisco. But she has not publicly acknowledged the conflict of interest between her job as a congressional appropriator and her husband's longtime control of Perini and URS--and that omission has called her ethical standards into question, say the experts.

So Democrats, with such a clear case of an ethics breach, are you going to ask for impeachment? Are you going to ask her to step down? Of course you aren't. Removal of corrupt politicians only applies to Republicans. If you're going to run a campaign on ethics reform, clean out your own closet first.

IAEA Head Guy Calls For "Timeout" On Iranian Nuclear Issue

Basically he wants the sanctions to be lifted if Iran agrees to nuclear enrichment halts. Isn't that what we asked for in the first place that got us nowhere? Iran is backing itself into a corner and will sooner or later find out that working with people instead of against them works much better. I'd be for this plan if it also involved Iran stop supporting insurgents in Iraq. The bottom line is that Iran is running out of options fast. With Israel chomping at the bit, ready to attack, it'd be in Iran's best interest to do something now instead of later.

US To Show Evidence Of Iranian Involvement In Insurgent Attacks

I'd be VERY curious to see what we have as evidence against the Iranians when it comes to this. Would the death toll in Iraq be much lower without Iranian involvement? Would the attacks against our soldiers be significantly less potent? If Iran is supporting attacks against our troops in any way, that's an act of war and needs to be dealt with swiftly and severely. Sure, we won't cross the border into Iran, but you can bet your ass that now that the gloves have come off, we'll start seeing more Iranians in the news.

Democrats Split On Candidates

Many major Hollywood players are rooting for Obama, but many others are for Hillary. What this means is that the nasty comments and finger pointing of weaknesses will be much stronger then previous Democratic runs. Smart Republican political analysts will take note and use those against the Democrats in the Presidential run in 2008.

I don't have a Republican candidate that really strikes me as "my guy/girl", but I am willing to believe that if Rudy Guiliani can get the Republican nomination, which would be difficult given his positions on various issues, he definitely could win. With a reputation as a guy who can get things done and get them done competently and a background as a former prosecutor, he definitely looks good on paper. But his stance on gay marriage, gun control, and other social issues has many very right wing Republicans doubting they'll vote for him.

My biggest gripe with him is his stance on gun control and asking for a decency council.

US Soldiers Kidnapped And Murdered Elsewhere

Nasty stuff war is. But at the very bottom of the article it states that we got 4 of them in custody based upon information provided by a local resident. It proves we are winning hearts and minds, even if it's going slowly. Otherwise, if they didn't want us there that badly, they wouldn't have given over information about the attackers. Troops Authorized To Capture Or Kill Iranian Operatives

Well it's about time! I see Iranian involvement against our troops in Iraq as an act of war. Now, if any Iranian operatives are found, they can be captured or killed.

"There were no costs for the Iranians," said one senior administration official. "They are hurting our mission in Iraq, and we were bending over backwards not to fight back."

Well no more. Now, if you're found to be working against us, you're all equally the enemy. I can't wait to see Iran's response. They may decide it's not worth it anymore, which would be nice, but they'll more then likely decide that they'll just be more careful.

Advocates of the new policy -- some of whom are in the NSC, the vice president's office, the Pentagon and the State Department -- said that only direct and aggressive efforts can shatter Iran's growing influence. A less confident Iran, with fewer cards, may be more willing to cut the kind of deal the Bush administration is hoping for on its nuclear program. "The Iranians respond to the international community only when they are under pressure, not when they are feeling strong," one official said.

Good Luck, And Here's A Knife In Your Back

Man, Congress has stooped to a new low. After telling them that the new troops are needed and that trying to pass a resolution asking for our withdrawal will give aid and comfort to our enemies, members of Congress have encouraged General Petraeus then turned around and then publicly stated that they were against troop increases.

If you want America to fail Congress, just come out and say so. Don't take the cowards way out and say one thing to one person, then say something else to your constituents. Iraq isn't a failure by any means, no matter what the media or the Democrats tell you. We removed a threat from the region within a matter of months, the Kurds are now much safer then they ever were, and people understand that they don't have to worry about a dictator that will come take them in the night to be killed if they say or do the wrong thing. If you view that as a failure, then you need to reexamine what you think success is.

Iran Plans Installation Of Thousands Of Centrifuges Within Month

The longer this goes on for, the worse the situation will be. Granted the UN resolution gave a 90 day time limit against Iran, but they don't appear to be taking it seriously. It's time to up the ante after that initial 90 days and put forth complete sanctions on all goods going in or out to Iran with the exception of food and medical supplies. There's already unrest within Iran, so all we have to do is ratchet up the pressure on them and they will be willing to negotiate. Sanction their oil and watch them panic as almost their entire economy depends on oil revenues.

Illegal Immigrants Fearful Over Recent Raids

The Lynching Of A President

Ben Stein has a very interesting article on how the media and others are crucifying President Bush in the public arena. What's nice is that he makes a specific mention about impeachment: "They cannot impeach him because he hasn't done anything illegal." That is true. If President Bush had done something illegal, then there wouldn't be a reason why the current Congress wouldn't impeach him.

So that begs the question: If Democrats so rabidly hate Bush, which I think we can all agree that they do, why don't they impeach him? Republicans attempted to impeach their king Clinton years ago, so they must be chomping at the bit to return the favor. Yet they don't. Why? Because he's done nothing illegal. Additionally, if they did try to impeach him and failed, they would be seen as nothing more then children looking for revenge instead of actually trying to solve America's problems and run the country.

Sure, you'll hear a grumbling here and there about impeachment, but with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi publicly stating that they won't support impeachment, don't look for this issue to show it's head anytime soon, if at all.

US Military Spied On Anti-War Demonstrators

Well can you blame them? Many in the anti-Iraq war movement are nutjobs. It's very conceivable that one of them might be loony tunes enough to make it violent. Democrats Hypocritical Again

Man, I just can't write enough on this subject. Democrats continually prove me right again and again. Republican members are calling out Democrats that promised bipartisan negotiations on all Congressional work. Now they've reneged on that. That's nothing new, but now Democrats are openly stating that they don't care.

"Whine me a river,'' one senior Democratic House aide said, referring to Republican gripes." Fair enough, but Democrats say that we shouldn't lower ourselves to the levels of others and hold ourselves to a higher moral ground. They use that excuse for Iraq, Guantanamo Bay, Torture, Domestic Spying, and a host of other things, but when you hold their feet to the fire, they get a bit hypocritical. If Democrats don't want to get voted out in 2008 and beyond, they'll start holding themselves to a bit higher standard and actually keep their campaign promises.

Of course, there's going to be idiots out there that point to this and say that John Kerry was robbed and some such nonsense even though prosecutors say that Kerry actually gained votes when the recount was done. Russian Man Smuggling Weapons Grade Uranium

Wow, this is some scary shit. What's worse is that he claims to have access to more. Whether that's true or not, he did have weapons grade uranium that he was selling to the highest bidder. What's curious is the lack of Russian cooperation on this. Does that mean they'll get all brutal on the guy and torture him? Or was he a spy who was caught and the Russians want this to go away? A few dozen more deals at this level of uranium would allow a person to make a nuclear weapon. Smuggled into a port of choice and you can level a city in the blink of an eye. A big thanks to the CIA and Georgian officials in taking care of this before it became ugly.

Liar And Traitor Urged To Take Lie Detector Test

I'm sorry, but if you steal classified materials, you should be barred from accessing classified materials for life. Theft of classified materials is a major crime and this guy should have gotten a very long jail sentence. Who knows what he did with these materials? If he was trying to blow the whistle on an illegal government operation, I could kind of see the reasoning for taking classified materials, but that doesn't appear to be the case. These materials seem to be related to covering his ass with regards to the 9/11 attacks. I'm betting that it has to deal with the fact that he and Bill Clinton did nothing about the threat of Osama Bin Laden for years until it festered into the attacks on the US embassies in Africa, the bombing of the USS Cole and the 9/11 attacks.

The Justice department was supposed to administer this test as part of his original plea agreement and has not done so. This is a grossly negligent act that needs to be rectified as soon as possible.

Illegal Immigrant Makes Funny Mistake

"Excuse me, Mr. You Look Like An INS Guy, we're looking for work" Immigration officers went to a local 7/11 and got approached by illegal immigrants looking for work. Some of them were convicted criminals. Sometimes life just drops something into your lap. The officers have publicly stated that if during the course of their daily business, something needs to be taken care of, it is. That gives immigrants notice that they can't just come into our country illegally. If you want to come to my country legally and be a productive member of society, then welcome my friend. Iran - "Israel And US Will Soon Die"

Anyone wonder why other Arab states are nervous with this idiot in charge of a nuclear project? What's worse is a report coming from the folks at Telegraph claiming that Iran is closely working with North Korea about their recent nuclear test and possible learning about how to make their own test. If that report is true, it would be a nasty kick in the teeth for people who honestly think that Iran's nuclear program is peaceful.

North Korea got away with a nuclear test, why shouldn't Iran? That's the kind of thinking that President Ahmadinejad has going through his head. This is dangerous thinking for the Middle East and it's one more nail in the coffin of Iran's nuclear program in the eyes of everyone around him.

US, Iraq Runs Joint Insurgent Fight

For those of you keeping score, operations like this are important in keeping insurgents on the run and hiding. If you give them time to rest, they can't resupply themselves as quickly and they tend to make mistakes, making their capture much easier.

"The Iraqi Ministry of Defense said two terrorist suspects were killed in the Haifa Street area and a "huge weapons and ammunitions cache" was found at the Karkh High School.

"Operations are still ongoing in that area to chase down the remnants of the terror and criminal elements," according to the Ministry.

In Adhamiya, the Iraqi army said two insurgents were arrested and weapons and munitions confiscated. The army also reported finding three car bombs being readied for attacks.

How many people do you think are going to live a much longer life since these weapons and car bombs were found and confiscated? Anti-war folks like to point to us not making any progress in this war, but you can't tell me that this isn't progress. People will grow up, get married, have children, and grow old because of the actions the Iraqi and US soldiers did today.

Democrats Move To Condemn Bush About Iraq

So, they offer nothing in return on new ideas, but claim that Bush's idea is wrong? However, even some of their own said that a troop increase was the way to go less then 2 months ago. So what gives? It's all about kissing the asses of their constituents back home rather then doing what's right. Honestly, nothing would give me greater satisfaction then having the additional troops work perfectly, the sectarian violence to come down to almost nil, and have the Democrats have to eat their own words.

Attorney General Questions Habeas Corpus

This is just dumb beyond words. This fucking idiot should be fired immediately and never allowed access to the halls of power again. From the article:

Responding to questions from Sen. Arlen Specter at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Jan. 18, Gonzales argued that the Constitution doesn’t explicitly bestow habeas corpus rights; it merely says when the so-called Great Writ can be suspended.

“There is no expressed grant of habeas in the Constitution; there’s a prohibition against taking it away,” Gonzales said.

Gonzales’s remark left Specter, the committee’s ranking Republican, stammering.

“Wait a minute,” Specter interjected. “The Constitution says you can’t take it away except in case of rebellion or invasion. Doesn’t that mean you have the right of habeas corpus unless there’s a rebellion or invasion?”

Gonzales continued, “The Constitution doesn’t say every individual in the United States or citizen is hereby granted or assured the right of habeas corpus. It doesn’t say that. It simply says the right shall not be suspended” except in cases of rebellion or invasion.”

“You may be treading on your interdiction of violating common sense,” Specter said.

Habeas Corpus is a fundamental right enjoyed by all American citizens and is not to be decided by some piss ant little weasel who thinks that just because something says it can't be taken away means that it's a guaranteed right.

I'm just glad Specter called him on his insanely stupid thought process.

This Is The Jew's and Christian's Fault!

So there's this little video titled "undercover mosque". In it, they show seemingly moderate Muslims saying one thing in public, but quite another in private:

Of course this program is now being called "Islamophobic". Hypocrites. Stand up for your convictions. I respect people a lot more if they are honest and say "I don't like X because that's just the way I am" rather then people who lie about it. Doesn't Islam have a thing about lying? Whites Not Allowed

Wow, I'm simply amazed that a black caucus is as openly racist as this. Where's Jesse Jackson to protest this injustice? Where's Al Sharpton to condemn the caucus against such blatant racism? The reason you won't see that is because both community leaders are racist themselves. For example, Jesse Jackson argued that Stanley Williams was safe enough to warrant him off of death row for the murders of 4 people. He argued that Stanley was a reformed man and didn't deserve to die. The next person scheduled to die was a 70 year old man who was legally blind and deaf. No Jesse Jackson at his execution which took place a little while later.

This is the problem with protesters. They don't protest equally. They protest when their own age/race/religion is being "attacked", but when it comes to the plight of other people, they get all quiet on you.

New General - "Tough Days Ahead In Iraq"

I'm glad that he's got a good bead on things and doesn't bullshit people. He warns that there will be tough decisions to be made in Iraq and that just because it's hard doesn't mean it's hopeless. It's good that the new troops will be in charge of security the civilian population instead of hunting insurgents. The insurgent hunt has more then enough soldiers to take care of the problem, but every soldier I speak with says that once they secure an area, and move on to the next, the insurgents come back to the previous area. With additional troops, they won't be able to come back.

But take a look at Ted Kennedy, he's already asking about a timetable to bring troops home. This is a vast mistake. You cannot give a specific time to when troops can begin withdrawal. If you do, insurgents know that if they hold out until X date, they will be fine. Plus, if the Iraqi government isn't ready by X date, do you leave them to the wolves? No, that would disastrous for everyone involved. It would fester until it exploded in the region or someone decided to take the fight to American streets against civilians.

I'll use this analogy that I remember reading from somewhere. If you are a police officer, and your informants and other officers from other precincts tell you that there's a crack house down the road from you, you're going to take care of it. You break down the door, but instead of a crack house, you find a child porn ring. Do you apologize and go home? No of course not, you bust them for the child porn. Now, once the people have been arrested, do you leave the children found at the home to fend for themselves? Of course not, you offer them protection and kindness until they reach a point where they can grow and fend for themselves.

Bush's State Of The Union Address

Boy, does this guys approval rating suck. I still think he can pull it off if he follows a few basic things. First off, I agree that our consumption of gasoline is too high. It makes us vulnerable to the whims of our petroleum importers. The idea of alternative fuels or asking that cars, trucks, and SUV's get better mileage would put us on the right track for energy independence. If Tesla can make an electric car that does 100+ mph and goes 250 miles to the charge, I think that car companies can do the same thing with their vast resources and engineering prowess and make it affordable. Honda did it with the Insight, which I owned one. I loved that car. 650 miles to the tank, light weight, affordable.

Second, the Iraq war is on everyones minds lately and rightfully so. I think the gloves should come off and we should be allowed to hunt down anyone who supports the insurgency regardless of political power. Muqtada al-Sadr is a prime example of this. Start projects that involve jobs, re-establish power and basic services as soon as possible and allow the Iraqi's to get back on their feet. If someone has a job and can feed and clothe their families, they are less likely to take up arms against our troops. If the Iraq war wasn't going on, Bush's approval ratings would be significantly higher. That's not to say that we should go the cowards way out like the Democrats would like us to. I'm saying that if the military says we need to do X, then we need to do X. They are military commanders for a reason. If we pulled out now, the Iraqi government would surely fail and it would be chaos on a grand scale.

Less government intrusion on people's lives. Get rid of various programs that are fast becoming hurtful to peoples everyday lives. The Republican core beliefs include less government, so show it. If a law is passed that you know damn good and well is unconstitutional, don't pass it. Contact attorney's, they'll set you straight.

Involve people from other political parties. Just because they are weak and spineless on a couple of issues, doesn't mean they don't have good ideas on other issues. Democrats love to point out that they left office with a budget surplus. This is true. However, what they don't tell you is that this was the 90's during the Internet's .com bubble. Everything was taxed heavily and thus, when there's a mass amount of investment and new companies popping up all the time, you're bound to see more tax revenue. Our economy is doing fine right now. Sure, the Iraq war is draining resources very fast, but as a whole, we're doing fine. Unemployment is way down, hundreds of thousands of jobs are being created every month, and tax revenue is going well.

Know your strengths and your weaknesses and bring in people who are strong with your weak issues and you'll be a much more effective leader. If Bush does these things, I believe that he can bring his approval ratings up significantly higher.

Hmm...I wonder why they would do that? Certainly it wouldn't be because they have something to hide would it? Keep painting Iran, sooner or later, you'll hit that corner and give your allies no where to turn but against you.

Never Underestimate Hillary

She's opened up her campaign with a shot across the bow against her two biggest Democratic rivals, Barack Obama and John Edwards. Unfortunately for Hillary, she opened her mouth and inserted her foot right away.

"She went on to say her daughter, Chelsea, and her husband, Bill, are "my greatest advisers.""

If Bill is one of her greatest advisors, she is in some deep trouble. Just take a look at my "Bin Laden Let Go For Financial Reasons" article to see why her husband shouldn't be "her greatest advisor" I'll let her comment about her daughter Chelsea go because that's just something a supportive parent would say. But as for Bill? His thoughts and ideas cost this country dearly and he shouldn't be anywhere near a presidential candidate.

China's Awfully Quiet About Missile Test

Could mean something. Could mean nothing. But one thing is for sure, everyone is against China's recent anti satellite test. This has many in Washington nervous and asking a ton of questions.

Bin Laden Allowed To Escape For Financial Reasons

I just got done watching a show on tv called "The Final Report - Osama Escapes". In it, it details the various ways in which Osama Bin Laden has escaped from US capture. Many reasons why have been shown, some of them valid, some not, but this one is the one that makes my blood boil.

In February 1999, intelligence agencies found out and tracked Osama to a camp in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Osama was spotted and confirmed to be in the camp. Also in the camp is an unnamed United Arab Emirates prince. Our guys are near the camp gathering intelligence and waiting for the call to begin strikes against the camp. However, the prince's father is about to make a deal with the US to purchase several billion dollars worth of warplanes. Fearing the backlash and potential deal breaker that potentially killing his son would be, President Clinton calls off the strike.

This is in February of 1999, after the attacks of the US embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, killing hundreds and wounding thousands. This is after Al-Qaeda was known to be responsible for the embassy attacks. This is after it is known that Osama is known to have declared war on the US. This is years after the CIA had a unit dedicated to capturing or killing Osama.

When Bill Clinton gets on tv and tells the American people that he did everything he could to capture or kill Osama, he lied. I've seen bumper stickers that say "When Clinton lied, nobody died." That's bullshit. 3,000 people would be alive today, multi billion dollar buildings would be still standing and the psyche of the American people would be intact if Clinton did his job to protect the American people.

Instead, Clinton put a couple billion dollar deal ahead of the security and safety of the American people. If people want to impeach Bush for the Iraq war, fine. Put Clinton on trial for treason. His impotence against a known threat cost us dearly.

We had him in our sights ladies and gentlemen. Clinton decided not to pull the trigger. He did not have the spine to stand up against a threat and order it neutralized. I would rather have a public that demands answers from me and second guesses my decisions, then have to explain to their families why they are coming home in a coffin because I decided not to act.

I know I have many Democratic readers, so let me ask you this: Are you going to ask for Clinton's blood like you have so rabidly asked for Bush's? Are you going to second guess Bush's every decision he makes and not do the same for Clinton? The evidence is there that Clinton knew there was a threat, one that had already killed hundreds of people, including Americans. We had the opportunity to capture or kill that threat in our hands, yet Clinton knowingly did nothing over a financial deal. So where is it? Where's your call for blood? Where's your call for charges of treason? If not, you will all prove my point that Democrats are spineless and weak when it comes to such things.

Why was the prince with Osama in the first place? He was with a known terrorist and if he died in a strike, then that's the price he pays for hanging around such people.

Michael Scheuer, Chief of the Bin Laden unit at the CIA from 1996-1999 confirms this story.

Muslims Protest "24"

Now only if they'd protest beheadings, riots, terrorist attacks, and other things as loudly, maybe people would start to take them a bit more seriously when they do protest. Have you ever wondered why we don't see Amish, Swedish, or Icelandic terrorists on tv? Because they generally don't do violent, spectacular events on a global scale.

Terrorism dramas on tv will use enemies that can be believed as a villain. Islamic extremists fit that bill. If you're a Muslim and you protest being cast as a terrorist on a fictitious show, protest the riots over the Dutch cartoons, protest about 9/11, protest about the beheadings of civilian contractors in Iraq, then I'll feel a bit of sympathy for you. From the article:

"I was shocked," he said. "Somewhere, some lunatic out there watching this will do something to an innocent American Muslim because he believes what he saw on TV."

You're going to have that with any tv show, movie, or music. Charles Manson thought the Beatles album was speaking of a race war. Timothy McVeigh had a copy of "The Turner Diaries" on him when he was arrested. John Hinckley tried to use the assassination of a president to impress actress Jodi Foster. Nowhere in any of these events did you see a mass protest about the media that influences these people. Plus, they were universally condemned for their actions by everyone, including people of their own religion. Start protesting things universally about the inaccuracies about Islam and the Muslim people, and you'll start seeing better results.

Taxing "Gold Plan" Insurance To Pay For Uninsured?

Man, that just sounds wrong. I don't care if it's coming from Bush, Clinton, or any other politician. They want to "encourage" people who are on "gold plan" insurance policies to go towards a more moderate plan. No way would I do that. Insurance companies in general like to try to weasel their way out of paying for things as it is. If someone dropped one plan for a cheaper one, that person runs the risk of having something not covered. I have such a "gold plan" insurance policy with extra insurance because various things do happen and I want to make sure that I don't have a catastrophic event happen to me that would cripple my family's financial well being. It's called insurance for a reason.

If uninsured people want to get insurance, let them. Employers offer it, states offer it. They can get insurance if they really want to.
