FBI PATRIOT Act Abuses
So the question is now, have they changed their ways or are we at a cross-roads where those threats of revocation of powers needs to happen? I'm of the mindset that you don't threaten to do something and not do it when the time comes. If the FBI continues to abuse it's power, it's time for that power to be revoked and those who abused the power to be prosecuted.
You wouldn't allow a police officer who continually searches illegally without a warrant to continue to be a police officer, so why is this any different?

Irony
Nobel Peace Prize winner Betty Williams of Ireland apologized Thursday after telling a Dallas audience a day earlier that she “could kill George Bush.”
The Wednesday remarks prompted an uproar among conservatives across the nation, led to phone and email threats and caused a buzz among delegates at the International Women’s Peace Conference.
“I’m just really passionate about my work. Sometimes it’s ‘open mouth, insert foot,’ ” she said. “I’ll spend the rest of the day saying I’m sorry to everybody.”
Sure, sorry cuts it. I'm sure the Secret Service would gladly take "sorry" from Osama Bin Laden or any other person who's threatened the President. Good luck with your upcoming legal bills and potential criminal trial. Idiot.

Bin Laden Hunt Continues
But the safety and security of the American nation is more important than anything, I don't care that Pakistan has been a bit wishy washy at times. I don't care that they can't control certain parts of their country. If they can't control it, it's not technically "theirs" right? Then we should be able to go in whenever, however we'd like and they don't have a real beef with it right?
All I'm saying is that territorial pissing matches will seem insignificant if there's a terrorist attack against America originating from that area. The public will scream about "why didn't we do something" and they will be right.

Bush Admits Someone In Administration Probably Leaked CIA Name
"And now we're going to move on," Bush said in a White House news conference.
Wrong. You can't ask the country to "move on" when someone willingly exposed a covert CIA operative. You can't ask the country to trust you are running an honest government when you don't go after those that leaked it. You promised that you'd fire anyone who was involved in the leak, and now you're not following through on your promise. You think the CIA trusts you now? You the the American people trust you now?Let me explain something to everyone on here. If my wife did something as traitorous and illegal as leaking a CIA operatives name to the press, I'd turn her in in a heartbeat. I love her dearly and would gladly turn the other cheek on many illegal things if she did them, but being a traitor against those who are there to protect my home is unforgivable.
This is my home, and as the leader of my nation, you owe it to me and everyone else to fire and prosecute anyone who leaked that name. Anything less makes you significantly less trustworthy.

Republican Values
Lesser Government: It's not the government's job to hand hold you through life. Republicans believe that America is a blank sheet of paper. You can make it whatever you'd like. Want to be rich? Work hard within the rules and you will be. Don't want to be rich or just want to be lazy? You can do that too, but you won't like it when your neighbor buys that new BMW.
Less Taxes: Republicans generally believe that we are taxed enough. Sales tax, Federal income tax, fees, all sorts of ways that the government takes more money from you isn't what Republicans want. Republicans want the money to be in your pocket so you stimulate the economy by buying houses, cars, college for your kids, plasma tv's, etc. All those things are taxed, which is why when Republicans push for a tax cut, you see an increase in revenue to the government.
Abortion: A lot of Republicans don't believe in abortion because of their religious views. That's ok. If they don't want abortions, they shouldn't have them. However, that directly contradicts the "Lesser Government" part of the core beliefs. If you believe in Lesser Government, how can you tell someone whether or not they should choose to abort or have a baby? Plainly put, it's not your business.
Gay marriage: Also something that Republicans don't believe in because of their religious views. However, you still go back to the Lesser Government belief and you're trying to shove your beliefs down the throat of someone who doesn't believe them.
Let's face it, gay people have been around forever, and there's not one good reason why they can't get married. In fact, I really hate it when gay people introduce me to their "partner". Don't do that. Introduce me to your "boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, or husband". I'm a big boy, I can handle that you're gay. I really don't care if you are gay as well. It's your business and I do believe in Lesser Government, and that means I don't have the right to tell you how to live your life. As a side note, I found out that I'm very big in the gay community. I didn't know I was that popular. :)
Gun Control: I'm for doing a background check to see if someone is a mental patient or a criminal, but that's it. Once those two things have been checked, I don't care what kind of weapon you own, even automatic ones. If you're a law abiding citizen, you should be able to own any weapon you'd like. The Second Amendment doesn't specify what kinds of weapons you can and can't own, so I'm taking the literal translation of that right.
Death Penalty: I think that there are just some people that deserve to die for the crimes they've committed. Jeffrey Dahmer, Westley Allan Dodd, Osama Bin Laden all committed crimes that were so heinous that the only appropriate punishment is a date with the needle.
Family: This is where most people tend to stray. They equate "family values" with straight and narrow thinking. No pornography, no gay people, no "offensive" material, in essence, no fun. Personally, I like porn. I don't care if you're gay. I think you have the right to say what you want, when you want, to who you want, as long as you're not committing a crime like say, threatening the President or crying out "fire" in a crowded theater.
To me, family is the people who you love and love you back. Family are people you'd die or kill for. To me, my friends are equally my family. My family, thus by definition, isn't restricted by race, color, or religion. If you're my friend, you're my family. I'd gladly give you every dime I had or work late into the evening on a work night to help you out. You can ask my wife about the "every dime" part. We've had numerous fights because I've loaned or given away thousands of dollars to friends and family when they were in need. Why? Because they are family and if it's in my means to help them, I'm helping them.
Wealth: If you earned it legally, it's yours. Hillary Clinton was famous for saying she wanted to "take excessive profits" from oil companies and give it to alternative fuel research. Oil companies are the only people that she could have gotten away with this with. Do you think it would have flown if she said she wanted to take the "excessive profits" from Toyota and given them to Ford? She would have been laughed at out of the building.
That means that the poor and the lazy have no right to complain about the services that they get or don't get. Why should someone who worked his/her ass off, invests wisely, and doesn't live above their means who makes say $200,000 a year, be forced to give the government more money because the poor and the lazy want universal health care, free public transit, or any number of welfare state programs?
If you're poor, and you can't get ahead in life, you need to take a good hard look at yourself and figure out how you're going to better your life so that you are no longer poor. If you can't get it together here, where do you suppose you're going to go to make a life for yourself? This is America, land of opportunity.
I grew up DIRT poor. Government cheese and peanut butter poor. Goulash with tomato paste poor. If you haven't been that poor, you don't know poor. What did I do to better my life? I went to college, paid attention, got a good paying job, invested wisely, didn't live above my means, worked hard, and didn't mouth off to my boss when I wanted to. Now, after all these years, my hard work and dedication is paying off and I'll be damned if I'm going to fork over more money in taxes because some lazy bastard doesn't want to get off his ass to either get a job or go to school to better themselves.
That being said, I have NO problem helping someone who wants to help themselves. If a person is poor and is willing to work hard to better themselves, I have no problem with giving them a monthly bus pass so they can get to and from school/work, subsidizing their rent for a short while, or even having them pay little to no taxes for a short while as well. However, after that "short while" then they need to stand on their own two feet. It builds character and makes them a better person and a better parent.
I'm sure I'm missing a ton of other values that people want to know about. So, I'll just cut it off here and make a new article about those that people write to me about in the near future.

Al-Qaeda Entrenched In Pakistan
Remember kids, it's far easier to beg for forgiveness then it is to ask for permission. Perhaps a deal can be struck with the Pakistani leader: We'll help keep the Indians off your back, sell you some minor military equipment (old stuff that's just lying around really) and you give us blanket access to Pakistan. I'm not saying a full blown invasion, but covert CIA/Special forces kind of access. You turn a blind eye, we'll help you out with your militant problem.
Already Al-Qaeda's #2 guy is calling for revenge for the Mosque hostage situation that left all the militants dead.
A deal like that would be win-win for everyone involved. Because let's face it, if we have solid intel that Bin Laden or Al-Zawahri are at a particular location in Pakistan, we're going in after them anyways, regardless of permission. Besides, when asked on American TV where Bin Laden was, his reply was "show us where he is and we'll go get him".
You'd think he'd be a bit more forthcoming with permission to us given the fact that Al-Qaeda's tried to kill him more than once.

Israelis Chomping At The Bit
I don't know about you, but if a Canadian leader threatened to "wipe us off the map" and were working on a nuclear program, do you think we would just sit casually by? Do you think that would hold true if Canada were supporting known terrorist groups who have attacked our civilian infrastructure? Of course not, so do we blame Israel for being nervous about this? No.
What's more depressing is that there are world leaders saying that "we lived with a Russian nuclear power, why not Iran"?
Well people easily forget that we were on the brink of nuclear war many times with Russia, most notably the Cuban Missile Crisis. Had Russia attacked us or supported groups that attacked us, you can bet it would not have ended peacefully.

Gonzales In REAL Trouble Now
Six days earlier, the FBI sent Gonzales a copy of a report that said its agents had obtained personal information that they were not entitled to have. It was one of at least half a dozen reports of legal or procedural violations that Gonzales received in the three months before he made his statement to the Senate intelligence committee, according to internal FBI documents released under the Freedom of Information Act.
The acts recounted in the FBI reports included unauthorized surveillance, an illegal property search and a case in which an Internet firm improperly turned over a compact disc with data that the FBI was not entitled to collect, the documents show. Gonzales was copied on each report that said administrative rules or laws protecting civil liberties and privacy had been violated.
If he made this testimony under oath, he committed perjury. If he committed perjury, he needs to be removed from office. He has made too many mistakes and had the nerve to question Haebus Corpus during testimony in an earlier inquiry. I've called for his head before, but this is the final straw. If he is not removed from office, I suggest that he be fired when the new President is elected. This is one of the times where I completely disagree with George Bush's view. You cannot invoke the trust of the American people if the head of your JUSTICE DEPARTMENT is lying to senators. I am unsure off the top of my head how the head of the Justice Department can be removed from office, but if you want to have the moral high ground, you have an obligation to tell your Senator to have him removed from office.
Don't know who your representative is? You can look it up here: Look up.

Fiscal Responsibility
We need to start getting back to fiscal responsibility. Stop purchasing homes that are more expensive then you can afford. Stop funding ridiculous government projects. Start running the government like a business. Gather top financial and business administration people and come up with a plan to get this country out of debt and the Dollar back on top. Here's a few ideas that I come up with
"Bridges to nowhere" - Gone.
"Private jets for Congressional members unless they are very high ranking or have gotten threats" - Gone
"Public subsidies for many areas of daily living" - Gone.
Purchase hybrids, electric or better fuel efficient cars for government work.
Allow oil expansion in Alaska as well as the Gulf of Mexico and off the coasts.
Leave taxes as is until the budget is balanced and the debt is significantly reduced (80% is a good goal to have)
Use Linux on government computers. Better stability, no virus', and no cost.
Build renewable energy stations. Solar in Nevada, Wind in Washington State, Wave in California, etc.
With China's growing trade surplus at a record high, the cost of doing nothing is going to be very high. Do I need to get a part time job with our Representatives to help explain this to them?
Honestly, I don't mind rolling up my sleeves to help, even if that means my tax bill goes up a bit. However, I want my money to be wisely spent, not on some frivolous pet project that garners a few extra votes for some politician.

Why Muslim Scarves Should Be Banned In Certain Areas
This head scarf should have been banned from the courtroom from the beginning. It's things like this that give people who don't wear them reason to pause. It's the same thing as the woman in Florida who wanted her face covered for her drivers license picture. She lost that case because officer safety is above her right to have her face covered. Just like this guys right to a fair trial overrides her right for her to wear her scarf in the courtroom. Don't like it? Don't be on a jury and face the consequences of that action.
Besides, what if this guy is innocent of the crime? Should be go to jail simply because she decided to fuck around with her mp3 player while crucial evidence was being played out in the courtroom?

Why Iran Will Never Be A World Power
If it wasn't for their oil reserves, they'd be just another Middle Eastern country with little to no real power.
They don't even say WHY this guy was an adulterer. Maybe his wife kept saying "no" and he got tired of it. Maybe his wife was a pain in the ass. Maybe he just like banging other girls. Regardless of why, that's still not the governments business. It's the same thing as gay marriage in America.
Being gay is your thing. I like girls, you like guys, so what? That's not my business. Getting married is something that anyone should be able to do. To deny people the right to get married simply because they are gay is discrimination. Allow people the freedom to do what they want and then you'll notice your nation prospering.

Militant's Not That Bright
Good God, these fucking morons can't even do that right. Already fucked up in the head thinking that by blowing themselves up that they'll get into heaven with 72 virgins, these guys can't even do simple math to make it all work. Plus, I don't know about you, but I've had virgins. They aren't any fun in the bedroom. Everything is awkward and it's a complete mess. There's ripping and tearing and crying about "only 50 bucks! Come on! I need $100!" Give me one dirty girl from Vegas and now you have a party.
Of course, joking aside, I'm glad that sometimes we have people like this who are being taken off the streets and put into jail for the rest of their lives because they are too stupid for their own good. Now if we can only do the same for Al Sharpton we can really be in business.

Speaking Of China
It's called the Brilliance BS6 and if you crashed in it at 64kmh (around 40mph), they have said that you probably would not survive the crash.
Let me explain something to you all. Take a look at the BMW crash footage just below it on the same page, a crash like that at the same speed would have you dazed, perhaps even minorly injured, but you would survive it and most likely walk away from it.
Because of this footage, it is very unlikely that you'll see this car in the US....ever.

China's New Problem
Wrong. Pollution is now their chief problem as they are now the worlds top polluter. It's not effecting the health of ordinary Chinese folks. With corruption and lack of healthy standards, people are getting sick and even dying. The problem is is that if they don't rein this in soon, they will find that they are no longer the manufacturing capital of the world. People will move their factories to other countries that will gladly take in new businesses as it will help them prosper.
China will find themselves in the same position that the US was in the 70's and 80's. Manufacturing and production jobs vanish because other nations are more attractive. You don't have to believe me, just wait a few years and you'll start noticing a shift. China's once thriving economy will start to slow down or even go down. With that many people, such explosive growth can sometimes be a bad thing.

Reid Can't Even Wait Until September
Well the fucker can't even wait that long. "We can't wait for September's scheduled military policy review for the White House to make adjustments" I'm telling you folks, this guy simply doesn't want the US to win this war. He's doing everything he can to undermine troop morale and their mission. September is two months away and he can't wait to throw in the towel.
Iraqi officials are telling the US that if we leave, Iraq may collapse. Unfortunately, I agree with him. Until the Iraqi's get on their feet, if we leave them, they will be over run by the Kurds, Turks, Al-Qaeda, Iran, and various fighting factions.
Now, that being said, the Iraqi security forces really need to get on the ball here. Corruption, lack of equipment and training, and morale are all points that need to be addressed and addressed quickly. Failure to do so in a timely manner only erodes the little support they have now. You are starting to see people want to throw in the towel that wouldn't conceive of it even 6 months ago. Perhaps the threat of us leaving might spur the Iraqi government to step up. However, if we do leave before they are ready to take over, it will be a major coup for Al-Qaeda as they've already pointed out Democrats wanting to run with their tails tucked between their legs as a win in their column. Al-Qaeda's #2 has already said that Iraq is the front lines in their battle against US, and yet Democrats want to run.
Take heed Democrats, leaving Iraq or Afghanistan before it is time will have disastrous consequences that you will be responsible for.

Sweet, Sweet Irony
The leader of an al-Qaida umbrella group in Iraq has threatened to wage war against Iran unless it stops supporting Shiites in Iraq within two months.
Far be it from us to get in the way of this one folks. Hell, I'd be happy just to have a ring side seat. Let's hear Ahmadinejad spin this one into how the Jewish folks are the ones who're responsible for the Shiites support, not Iran.
"We are giving the Persians, and especially the rulers of Iran, a two-month period to end all kinds of support for the Iraqi Shiite government and to stop direct and indirect intervention.
"Otherwise a severe war is waiting for you," he said in a 50-minute audiotape released on Sunday.
Go for it al-Baghdadi, the Iranians are helping out the Shiites, we're all aware, you included. Now let's see if you're man enough to come through with your threats. I'm sure that the American troops would be happy to sit back while you two kill one another and we just play cleanup and protect innocent civilians.
But you are a proud Arab man right? You wouldn't be just blowing smoke up everyones ass would ya? Well the clock is ticking, you have until September 9th to make good on your threats.

"Hey, on the nation's birthday, let's light off fireworks in a manner that should send several people to the hospital and kill a few here and there" I'm sure there are many other traditions that we have that are equally dangerous, that one is just the one that popped into my head. :)

Am I Unclear?
Well now they're not ok. People's house payments are jumping 10-30% and there's tons of people who are going to lose their house because of it. Let me run some math for you all:
Take your gross wages, how much you make in a year before taxes, include your spouse in this equation, multiply by 3 and that's roughly the amount of house you can afford give or take a bit. So, if you make $40,000 and your wife makes $35,000, that's $75,000 total. That means you should be able to afford a $225,000 home give or take. If you don't have much debt, say no car payments or low credit card debt, you could probably bump that to $250,000 max. If there are no homes in the area that are in that range, move to a more remote area or rent an apartment.
If someone is telling you that you can afford a $350,000 or $400,000 house with that kind of income, you should walk out of their office immediately as they are not looking out for your best interests.
So let's continue with the fictional $40,000/$35,000 husband/wife team. What happens if she gets pregnant? What happens if you or her loses their job? What happens if you are sick or injured? All of these things and more happen to everyday good people. Do you want to be unemployed and worried about how you're going to make your house payment? No, of course not, so don't fall in love with a house if you can't afford it.
Here's the best advice that I can give in this situation. It was given to me a long while ago by an equally wise man: Don't live above what unemployment pays. That way, if you lose your job, which is the most likely situation to cause financial troubles, you don't have to worry about anything other than finding a new job. You won't have to worry about making a choice between making the mortgage payment and eating. Trust me on this one, it's much nicer to get up in the morning and look for a job and not develop an ulcer doing it.
Don't get involved with credit card debt. Use credit cards as emergencies only. That way you'll have a buffer if something bad happens.
Buy a used car: Used cars, especially Japanese ones (Honda and Toyota) are just as reliable as new ones, so why pay an extra $5-10,000 for that new car smell? Get a car that's 1-3 years old and you'll save thousands.
Don't eat out: Eating out is probably the #1 sucker of your spare money. I admit my wife and I eat out ALL the time. If we didn't, we'd probably save $500 a month. But we don't live above what unemployment pays and we don't have much debt (other then her student loans which are about to come due soon), so we can afford that. If we couldn't, that'd be the first thing to go.
All I'm saying is: be fiscally responsible and it'll make your life a lot less stressful when catastrophic things happen.

Sheehan Ultimatum
Cindy Sheehan, the soldier's mother who galvanized the anti-war movement, said Sunday that she plans to seek House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's congressional seat unless she introduces articles of impeachment against President Bush in the next two weeks.
Sheehan said she will run against the San Francisco Democrat in 2008 as an independent if Pelosi does not seek by July 23 to impeach Bush. That's when Sheehan and her supporters are to arrive in Washington, D.C., after a 13-day caravan and walking tour starting next week from the group's war protest site near Bush's Crawford ranch.
"Democrats and Americans feel betrayed by the Democratic leadership," Sheehan told The Associated Press. "We hired them to bring an end to the war. I'm not too far from San Francisco, so it wouldn't be too big of a move for me. I would give her a run for her money."
Do you Democrats now see the monster you've created? You were all for pumping up her fame and message when she was spewing hate against Republicans, now that you haven't done exactly what she wants you to do, she's turned her venom against you. She's now your problem and Republicans are more then happy to laugh at you for it. Of course this also shows what Cindy is willing to do. If Nancy doesn't introduce legislation and Cindy doesn't run, it will cement her reputation as a liar and an opportunist. Either way the wind blows is a win for Republicans.
During the 2006 elections, you promised America that you would end the war in Iraq, get rid of the "culture of corruption", work with Republicans, raise the minimum wage, make Congressional members work 5 day work weeks, and provide the American public with the "most open and honest Congress in history".
Well the only thing you managed to do out of that entire list is the minimum wage increase. Now 7 months into your new found power and nothing really to show for it, your constituents are rightfully pissed at you. Now, one of their most famous members is turning on you simply because you can't do your job effectively. Had you not alienated Republicans and actually kept your "work with Republicans" promise, you might have actually gotten some of those things done, but you were too drunk with power and now you have consequences to face. Ha ha motherfuckers.

Bush's Kandahar?
When the number of people involved became hundreds, it was called off because it looked like a small invasion of Pakistan and could damage relations with that country as well as being too risky for personnel.
That I can totally understand. However, if you choose not to strike there, you had better fucking make sure you follow each and every person out of that meeting and strike them when it's safer. But fast forward to today, Ayman al-Zawahri isn't in custody or in the ground.
So there are a ton of questions that I have. Was al-Zawahri even there? If not or no Al-Qaeda members were there, then it was called off correctly. What were the circumstances that made it too risky? Were there too many civilians around? Was it a crowded area that would make it difficult to tell friend from foe? I can't speak for Navy SEALS members, but I'm going to make a blanket statement and if there are any SEALS out there that would like to correct me, please feel free.
Navy SEALS would gladly risk whatever it takes to bring in senior Al-Qaeda members unless it's taking civilian life. These guys train constantly to protect America from all threats. When a threat is detected, they go in and capture or kill that threat. Simple as that. However, if anyone calls off that mission, there'd better be a good fucking reason for doing it. Relations with Pakistan don't mean shit to me as much as getting al-Zawahri and Bin Laden.
If either of them were found, Musharraf would have some heavy explaining to do since on TV he has said "if you know where al-Qaeda is in my country, show us where he is and we'll both get him"

Reuters Reaching
But take a look at the actual content:
Asked in an interview last November, before she became minister, whether she thought Bush might be behind the attacks, Boutin says: "I think it is possible. I think it is possible."
"I know that the websites that speak of this problem are websites that have the highest number of visits ... And I tell myself that this expression of the masses and of the people cannot be without any truth."
Boutin's office sought to play down the remarks, saying that later in the same interview she says: "I'm not telling you that I adhere to that position." This comment does not appear on the video clip on ReOpen911.
Sounds to me like a bit of bias don't you think? A big inflammatory headline, but when you get to the meat of the article, the person said only "it's possible". Well of course it's possible like it's also possible that ninjas will burst into my home and do karaoke. It's extremely unlikely, but it is possible.
My point is that those in the news need to keep their opinions for the opinion section. To do anything less is unfair to the readers.
