'IAF and ground troops targeted Iranian weapons in Syria' | Jerusalem Post

It's always nice to see the Israeli's standing up against Hezbollah militants, especially when it comes to other nations in their support for the terrorist organization.

It makes me all fuzzy inside to see Syria and Iran blink twice when they see Israeli jets flying overhead because they know if they continue down this path, they don't have just the American's to worry about.

Reuters AlertNet - Israeli army declines comment on Syria bombing report

Israel attacking Syrian targets?  Israel purportedly dropped fuel tanks and flew faster then the speed of sound into Syrian territory.

Was this a dry run against them in Syria's attempts to get back Golem Heights?  It certainly appears that way:

Tensions between the two neighbors have been high in recent months, with some Israeli intelligence officials suggesting President Bashar al-Assad's administration might be ready to try to take by force parts of the Golan Heights, which Israel captured in the war of 1967.

Syrian officials, including Assad, have repeatedly warned Israel in recent weeks that the occupation of the Golan Heights "cannot last forever."

Of course, Iran wants to poke it's nose into things by offering help to the Syrians:

Iran's ambassador to Damascus, Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, assured security officials in Syria that Teheran would be ready to offer Damascus any assistance it may need, Iranian media reported on Thursday afternoon following a resurgence of tensions between Israel and Syria.

Personally, I say let them take the gloves off and go to town.  The Israeli's, regardless of what you think of them, are ruthless when it comes to war and intelligence gathering.  We all know what happened during the 1967 war when Israel kicked the snot out of just about everyone in the neighborhood.

With Iran offering help against the Israeli's, that means that Iran can't be running interference in Iraq.  Israel has no problem slaughtering everyone in it's path, so it's win-win for the US.

Counterterrorism expert Boaz Ganor said that if Thursday's overflight occurred, it's possible Israel was "collecting intelligence on long-range missiles" deployed by Syria in the north.

Imad Fawzi Shoaibi, a Syrian political analyst, speculated that Israel may have been probing Syria's new air defense systems provided by Russia, at a time when tension is running high between the two countries.

Whatever the reasoning, you can bet that things aren't going to calm down anytime soon.

Lebanon slams rights report on Hezbollah war with Israel - Yahoo! News

It appears that Hezbollah doesn't like it when you shine a light on their
cowardice

.  Hiding amongst civilians, not wearing a uniform, hiding weapons within mosques and civilian homes, then have the nerve to complain when those areas get attacked.  Personally, I think if you look at it a certain way, those in Hezbollah are guilty of war crimes.

The Human Rights Watch (HRW) report due for release on Thursday focuses on the extent "Hezbollah targeted or indiscriminately fired its rockets toward civilians and civilian objects" during the 34-day war, according to a statement by the New York-based group.

"Israel during the attacks of July 2006 violated all international conventions," Prime Minister Fuad Siniora's office said in a statement. "It killed nearly 1,200 Lebanese and injured thousands more and 72 hours after UN Resolution 1701 was adopted, it dropped 3.5 million cluster bombs in the south of the country."

Resolution 1701 put a stop to the war that began in July after Hezbollah launched a cross-border attack on Israel and kidnapped two soldiers, whose fate is still unknown.

Hezbollah spokesman Hussein Rahal said Human Rights Watch should start by criticizing Israel.

"We were the victims during this war and people have a right to defend themselves," he told AFP. "We did not target civilians but Israel on the other hand did target the civilian population in Lebanon."

First off, you attacked Israel first with your attack on an outpost on Israeli soldiers.  You fired missiles into Israel knowing full well that they would kill civilians.  You hid like scared children in civilian areas and then have the nerve to call out on Israel because they attack areas that they are being fired upon from.

Perhaps you should save your dog and pony show for someone who might actually fall for your lies.

Iran Wants Condemnation Of Israel's Nuclear Weapons' Programs

And they have the nerve to ask for UN oversight over these facilities while not allowing UN oversight over their own nuclear program? Fat chance idiots. Perhaps if you "walked the walk", people would be more willing to hear your side of the story. But until you stop supporting terrorist groups that put bombs on city buses and night clubs, you can promptly go fuck off.
